No, the case in court right now is a civil case and, as we already know, not subject to a presidential pardon.

However, as I mentioned before, Rudy could be dragging this civil case out until after January 20 in hopes (or perhaps even a Trump promise) that Trump will use the power of the purse (if you get my drift) to intimidate respective state governors to drop the civil cases against Rudy.

Of course, we know how much a "Trump promise" is worth but Rudy, in spite of all that's gone down, is still a staunch Trump supporter. And therein lies the mystery. Nobody but a fool would take Trump at his word.

Promises or no, my guess is Trump will let Rudy swing.

That would be a safe bet considering that Trump has the Insurrection Act and the whole U.S. Army at his beck and call.

If Trump continues to model himself in the image of Vladimir Putin, he'll outlaw any group of three or more people. Worse if that group happens to be high ranking military officers who could be plotting a coup.

I suppose there's always the chance that Rudy could threaten Trump with a series of 12, one hour long each, documentaries on national TV about all the dirty dealing in the lead up to and aftermath of 2020.

That might persuade Trump, once in office, to lean hard on the governors of Georgia and Arizona to drop their charged against Rudy.

I agree that such an expose' would be a long shot but nonetheless interesting from a 2028 political point of view about the GOP.

Rudy could even pocket a nice piece of change ~ at least enough to get him back on his feet financially. Maybe even a couple million dollars.

I wonder why Rudy hasn't thought about that. He was in all the meetings, and he knows where all the bodies are buried.

The rest of the story is not unexpected nor is Rudy so mentally incompetent that he can't comply with Judge Litman's orders to turn over his assets as ordered by the court.

Rudy outlived his usefulness to Trump a long time ago. That means there's not a chance in the world that any help for Rudy will come from that direction. Loyalty to Trump is a one-way street.

I wasn't thinking in terms of any mass uprising. I'm thinking about foreign allies of democracy working on behalf of saving their own countries from the disastrous economic results of a Trump/GOP world power grab.

We're thinking way too small if we believe that the GOP power grab is limited to only the United States. Personally, I think subjugating the U.S. is only the tip of the iceberg.
