Venezuelan migrants moving into Chicago's South Side have caught the attention of the city's gangs, with some fearing an impending turf war between local gangs and their Venezuelan counterparts. "When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. "The economy," he replied when asked for his most important election issue. "Getting interest rates down, getting it where we can afford to live in America again. Right now, it is too expensive." She pressed him: "If you can afford a boat, you're not hurting so bad, right? Because a boat costs a lot of money and has a lot of upkeep." "Listen, nobody gave me sh*t," the man, identified as Trump supporter Joe Harner, told her. "I earned everything that I've got. I'm retired military, retired power plant, and I am successful and retired -- with boats, with jet skis -- because I got it right. And everybody has that chance. Whether they choose to or not, that's up to them." read more
