Disney's ABC said "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "will be will be pre-empted indefinitely," a spokesperson confirmed to NBC News, after the late night host's Monday monologue about conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was giving a presentation at Utah Valley University when he was fatally shot last week. During his monologue Monday, Kimmel raised the possibility that the alleged assassin Tyler Robinson might have been a pro-Trump Republican. "The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said.

The Walt Disney Co. will pay a $10 million fine to settle a Federal Trade Commission lawsuit alleging it allowed personal data to be collected on kids under 13, violating federal law. The FTC said Tuesday Disney violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA, which requires kid-oriented apps and websites to get parents' consent before collecting personal information of children under 13. According to the complaint, Disney failed to properly label some videos that it uploaded to YouTube as "Made for Kids." read more
