So RFK lied to Congress in order to get the job.
Knowingly making false statements in a matter within the jurisdiction of a federal government branch, including Congress, is a felony crime under 18 U.S.C. 1001, punishable by fines or up to five years in prison. Lying under oath during congressional testimony is also the separate crime of perjury 18 U.S.C. 1621, which carries similar penalties.
