It's been a retirement destination for 20 plus year now. The Californians coming in from the west. The Texans basically own the mountain towns 2 hours east of here ,Ruidoso and Cloudcroft. And lots of Midwestners. My neighbor (deceased now) was a retired lawyer from Iowa

Went to Walmart yesterday and bought a big jar of mayo and a loaf of bread. It'll be turkey sandwiches and all the other leftovers until Monday.

My Filipina wife told me that the boys in The Philippines get circumcised at age 12. It's a rite of passage. In her village her uncle was the circumciser. You'd lay your ------ across a chopping block he'd then pull the -------- out and quickly sever off a portion with a straight razor. Then they pack some herbs on it, and then you'd wear a banana leaf skirt. After a week they go to the river and compare and show off their new circumcised ------s.

I said, "So our son needs to be circumcised" She responded "Of course, otherwise the girls will laugh at him"

This was 50 plus ago. I think most go to doctors nowadays.
