---FROM A PERSON THAT YOU GD BASTARDS DON'T GIVE A ---- ABOUT...

I woke up to news I've been waiting for half my life. Maduro has finally been extracted from a country he does not love and whose people he has no concern or respect for.
I go to social media and I'm in disbelief at the commentary... people acting like this just happened overnight, as if he was suddenly "kidnapped," with no regard for decades of context.
Venezuelans have lived under this regime for over 20 years.
We've held elections multiple times.
Maduro is not our legitimately elected president. He is a dictator who destroyed the country, jailed political opponents, killed peaceful student protesters, and collapsed the economy.
This is not about Trump violating Venezuela's sovereignty. That sovereignty was violated long ago by Maduro himself.
His crimes have happened openly, while Venezuelans tried lawfully and repeatedly to remove him and were denied justice.
If you're outraged now but ignored everything that came before, please learn the history instead of reacting to a distorted narrative.
As a Venezuelan, I am thankful to have a chance to regain our sovereignty and rebuild what the regime took from us. Our country.
I'm Venezuelan.
I live in exile.
ike more than 8 million of us,
I didn't leave because I stopped loving my country.
I left because loving it became heartbreaking, dangerous and because there was no future to build without surrendering to the regime.
We didn't choose violence.
We chose ballots.
We chose protests.
We chose hope.
Every peaceful path was met with prison, bullets, and silence.
What's painful is watching people who have never lived under a dictatorship explain one away, Speaking the language of "human rights" while excusing those who erased ours.
It's easy to moralize and play expert from the safety of your democracy.
It's harder when your home exists only in your memory.
Maduro was never elected.
He is why millions of us cannot go home.
For years, we screamed for the world to listen.
It chose silence.
So yes, we are rejoicing.
Not because of violence,
but because we were seen.
We were heard.
Call it uncomfortable.
Call it overdue.
Just don't call it wrong.
