Bump Stocks: SCOTUS to Decide If They Count as Machine Guns

The US Supreme Court will soon decide whether to lift a ban on bump stocks, the gun attachments that let rifles fire hundreds of bullets per minute.

A functional congress could pass a law banning them but we don't have a functional congress so I guess the decision will hinge on how much the gun industry is willing to bribe certain members of the Court.

#1 Jonny, Congress can pass as many laws as they want but as we have learned from Biden,Trump and Obama it's really about enforcing the laws passed.

If the executive branch doesn't want to enforce a law it won't and there's nothing the peoples house can do to fix that.

but this one is if "they pass the history test"

They made the test, lets see how they apply it.

Lewzer's SCOTUS overturning one of Lewzer's regulations would be interesting.

No one should ever forget that anti-2nd amendment dictator wannabe Donalt Trunk turned a whole lot of law abiding citizens into felons with this executive order.

Why was he so hell bent on disarming us?

It might have something to do the fact that he was never planning on leaving office, right?

Those democrats though, they sure do despise guns and gun owners.

I don't care about all the semantics. Neither do all the people being killed by these weapons.
You how I can tell if it's a "machine gun"?

I use my eyes and ears.

If you squeeze the trigger (activate the firearm) and you can fire hundreds of rounds per minute and shells come flying out the side in the hundreds and the shooter can barely hold the weapon still. I don't care how you modified the weapon to accomplish it you just fired an automatic weapon.

Hundreds per minute? That's unmodified semi-automatic for most carbines. Most people should be able to do at least 5 - 6 per second out of an AR. They'll be all over the place but the bullets will come out. Bump stocks that make a gun into an actual machine gun by modifying the FCG are already illegal. You don't even need a bump stock. You can put a piece of rubber behind the bolt of an AK and get the same effect and that's also a legal modification. It lets you miss really fast.
