Biden’s Civil Rights Rollback

Under Trump, college kids accused of sexual assault were given the right to defend themselves. With his update of Title IX, Biden has taken it away. Last Friday, the Biden administration followed through on a promise: to roll back civil rights for college students accused of sexual misconduct. The new regulations come under Title IX, the federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. Set to go into effect in August, they will restore some of the worst excesses introduced when Biden was vice president under Obama. One of the most concerning is the return of the "single-investigator" model that was barred under Trump. This means "one administrator can act as detective, prosecutor, judge, and jury on a Title IX complaint."

#3. We already witnessed how these rules played out under Obama you ------- moron. Dozens (at least) of lives upended and quite a number of successful lawsuits against the universities that adjudicated sexual harassment claims in complete defiance of any semblance of due process.

On this, Bellringer is correct. This Is a civil rights rollback.

Even accused rapists are entitled to Due Process.

False accusations do happen. And it is in everyone's interest to not railroad innocent people.

How hard is it to just go through the process without short circuiting it?

Making accusations is not enough for conviction.

Evidence is required for that. Even for Rape.

If that makes the woman uncomfortable, its just part of the process.

It makes victims of all crimes uncomfortable to have to testify.

They still do.
