Ret. Major Gen: Trump Could Use Nat Guard Against Citizens

A retired major general has warned that Donald Trump could use the National Guard as "his own personal police force," following the former president's comments about potentially using the military in a domestic scenario.

More

Trump has spoken about what he calls the "enemies from within" multiple times during campaigning this year, including on Sunday, when he told Fox News that these "sick people" who are "radical left lunatics" should "be handled" by the National Guard.

Comments

"If (Trump) was to be the commander-in-chief again, everything changes " the Supreme Court has given him immunity," Manner said.

"And the threshold for turning the National Guard into his personal police force is quite low."

Manner went on:

"As long as (Trump) has a consenting governor, he can authorize the funds to pay them as the commander-in-chief. And he can use the National Guard, almost in any way that he wants.

And most Americans don't know how very easy it would be for an unhinged president to use the military against our own citizens."

You mean they are going to be like your infamous Red Wave... Imaginary?

Your president puppy is sick, he might do anything. Some Republicans have even tried to put it down.

- most are and were happy and content.

Well, yeah... the first two years they lived in Obama's Economy, as any economist will tell you... and then Trump mishandled Covid while he was promising Vlad the Ukraine... and as it was clear that his policies were going to only help the him and the other Oligarchs...

... it all went to s hit and and Biden and Harris had to clean it up and it's just now getting really good.

Which is what Dems have been doing for these last many decades; cleaning up Republican economic giveaways as tax relief to those who need it least.

Have you been asleep your entire life?

This is a purposeful cycle of growth and recession calculated to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

It's even older than us.

Get behind the Dem Proposal for Public Financing of Elections. Paid for by the people who are paying for it now.

They just don't get to influence The People's policy with their money to enhance their advantage and current control.

@#8 ... I dont worry about Trump. He has alread been POTUS and most are and were happy and content. ...

Then... why did so many of the White House staff at the time volunteer to testify against him?

#12 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-10-16 08:21 PM

Yeah... those poor Trumpers that are in Prison now because they believed his lies about the Election and committed crimes of violence at the Capitol... or the many Fake Electors and other conspirators who are sitting in Prison cells right now prolly aren't very. 'happy and content'.

Remember the "Citizens United" decision that Democrats irrationally claimed showed just how rich and evil Republicans were? Well they were wrong and the reality and truth is Democrats party are rich beyond all belief and they control elections with that money. They have twice as much to spend as Trump and company. Democrats do represent the oligarchs and moneyed crowd. The public hasn't yet caught up with that reality due to spin of media and DNC.
