Gen Z Voters Discovering Trump's 'Grab 'Em ... ' Tape

Many first-time voters were young teens in 2016 ... in which the former president seemed to endorse sexual assault during a behind-the-scenes conversation on an "Access Hollywood" set when he didn't realize his microphone was on. Now, young people are encountering the tape for the first time on TikTok, where users are sharing videos of their reactions and, in some cases, reaching large audiences.

This week, many said on the social network they were shocked by the former president's words and confused why the episode wasn't a deal breaker in 2016.

"I don't think any of my friends had heard it," said Kate Sullivan, a 21-year-old student in Ohio who heard the tape for the first time on her TikTok For You feed this week. "We all felt equally shocked."

People her age have less tolerance for sexual misconduct after growing up amid a series of high-profile harassment and assault cases involving major celebrities, Sullivan said. She immediately felt compelled to share the audio in her own video, with the superimposed text, "Fathers are voting for this man." The video has been viewed 2.5 million times and was reshared by singer Billie Eilish to her 68 million followers.

Brigid Quinn, a 15-year-old in Georgia, knew that Trump had been accused of making sexist comments, she said. But she had never heard the words he actually said - including the grab them by the -----' quote. She "didn't understand how people thought this was normal." She made her own video featuring Trump's audio in hopes her school friends of voting age would see it.

"I'm around a lot of [18-year-olds] on my sports team, and I thought maybe I could show them who to vote for," she said. Some people came up to her at school saying her TikTok was the first they had ever heard of the tape.

It's hard to believe that 10 year olds on up in 2016 actually didn't hear about Trump bragging of committing sexual assault considering they're so inundated with social media, but evidently that isn't the case.

Just another reminder among thousands why DJT is wholly unfit to hold any elective office, much less the US presidency. And if the kids really want to know why this wasn't a deal breaker in 2016 they should ask their mothers and fathers.

I saw tik tok videos of Gen Z women voters reactions to watching the tape.

They were rightfully horrified.

Comey had best re-open the FBI investigation into Hillary's emails again before this gains traction.

It's been there forever but I'm very glad the Gen Z folks are seeing it so now go vote! No excuses, get out and vote for Harris or against Donald Trump; whichever way you want to think about it. Just do it!

I had forgotten how bad the tape was because only part of it got played over and over again, so when I heard the extended version yesterday, I thought, "Wow, his comments were even worse than I remember." But that's the thing about Trump and the way Republicans and the media have normalized his worst comments and behavior:

US election: Full transcript of Donald Trump's obscene videotape

Trump: "I moved on her actually. You know she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and ---- her, she was married."

Unknown: "That's huge news there."

Trump: "No, no, Nancy. No this was [inaudible] and I moved on her very heavily in fact I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said I'll show you where they have some nice furniture. I moved on her like a bitch. I couldn't get there and she was married. Then all-of-a-sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony ---- and everything. She's totally changed her look."

I moved on her like a bitch. I couldn't get there and she was married. ... Grab them by the p***y!

So, "Li'l Young Orange Thug" is a rapper! That will only get him some "urban" votes.

If you want GenZ to vote against him, ignore the "thug" part of this tape and emphasize this part:

Trump: "I moved on her, and I failed. I'll admit it.

Now, do a video/slide show and overlay this 'admission' in large bold print over every bankruptcy and failed enterprise that "Mr Will.Fix.It!" has ever run into the ground, including Trump-U, and he'll be a GenZ' laughing stock.
