Krishnan has a close relationship with billionaire Elon Musk, with whom he worked to rebuild Twitter (now X) following Musk's acquisition of the company in 2022.
Sriram Krishnan didn't appreciate Trump being deplatformed by Twitter back in the day, and later, openly supported Elon Musk's vision for Twitter. So, his nomination as a White House policy advisor for the Trump-Musk administration isn't surprising.
