Polar Vortex to Bring Freezing Weather to US

Freezing weather is expected to hit the eastern US in the coming days as the polar vortex moves.

Around here in Connecticut we are coming off daytime temps in the mid-upper 50's, with nighttime low temps higher than the average daytime high temp, i.e., nighttime lows in the upper 30's.

There's even a snowstorm in the making, looking like it may hit the mid-Atlantic coastal states.

Last winter I used the snow-thrower one time, and that was for a couple inches of wet snow. Back a decade or two ago, I would use the snow-thrower a dozen or so times each winter, sometimes for a foot or more of snow.

This cold blast is going to wake up some folk ...

Here in the Badger state it's not going to be too unseasonable. Low on Saturday night of 4. Daytime highs in the low to mid 20's. For other parts of the country that may be bad, here normal.
