Los Angeles County supervisor Kathryn Barger has provided an update on the unfolding situation on the California wildfires and addressed reports that residents are being denied assistance by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.Residents in Los Angeles are being warned the worst of the fires is not over. "I want you all to know that we are going to be working diligently with the state to make sure that those that are insured get the financial help they need," Ms Barger said during a press conference. "Yesterday we announced that FEMA had set up a website and I am seeing that people are filling out the form and being denied. "I am following up on that to find out what is going on because it is completely mind boggling to me that people who have lost everything are filling out a form as told and are getting an immediate denial."
