Fox News DEI Spin on California Wildfires Exposes MAGA's Total Incoherence

Amanda Marcotte, Salon: One thing no one can deny: MAGA influencers put a lot of work into pushing really stupid talking points.

More

Wildfires, Lies, and MAGA Spin As wildfires ravage California, Trump, Musk, and MAGA fuel chaos with conspiracies. Blaming DEI and inventing water crises, they ignore the real issue: climate change. Instead of leadership, we get cruelty. It's time for accountability, not distractions.

MAGA insists on being cruel and stupid.

It requires no work and no education.

Perfect.

It is time for accountability, and I don't think the questions being asked about the leadership that got LA/Cali to this point are distractions. Decisions were made that exasperated this scenario.

Asking pointed questions at D leadership doesn't make it immediately MAGA.

Everyone knows the stench of MAGA by now.

Asking "pointed questions" is what sane, patriotic Americans do.

Not MAGA.

'"California is committing suicide before our very eyes. DEI is deadly." He did not explain how either being queer or female made someone less capable of doing the job of fire chief'

FROM THE ARTICLE

This is MAGA.

Disgusting BS from a movement composed of such.

This is a great deflection from the incompetent government officials.

Love it

I see it as Newsom shoving responsibility onto the mayor of LA bu saying "hey, the water was there, it's not my fault your fire hydrants were dry"

Giving air time to trump and fox is like giving air time to the national inquirer. Just another lie factory.

Democrat pols and big wigs must have politics built into their corrupt psyche. Their obsession and mission is always political power by any means necessary. Common sense is always missing. They never focus on the problem. DEI is the ultimate racism as they base everything on race and skin color when most could care less. Merit and ability should be numero uno in picking people.

Why would Karen Bass visit Africa when they were told an major weather and wind event and all destructive potential was on the way? She is like Newsome and Biden where their only concerns are expensive meals and junkets. California was once a golden state, now everything they do makes life worse. California went from the best to the worst ever since Democrat one party government took over.

Little 1936 built ranch houses on a postage stamp waiting for a flood, earthquake, or fire they sell for $2+ million. And they wonder why insurance is not available. What is the desire to live there?

I feel really sorry for these people losing everything but hopefully they will wake up that the politics of fools carries risk of bad government.

More than that.

It exposes their hatred for women, minorities and the LGBTQ+

Look under your bed, ROBSON. I'm certain that you will find millions of potential therapists there, including your maid.

Yeah. Sure.

#12 | Posted by Zed at 2025-01-10 12:23 PM

"potential therapists"

Well, that was Freudian.

I have to imagine that therapy would help relieve your anxiety about all those brown people coming for you, ROBSON.

Why constrain it to D leadership? Why not include the fire departments: municipal and county? I suspect that enough people in various agencies that screwed up that there's plenty of blame to go around.

While the power was out, the only channel I could get on tv was Dr Phil's fake news channel. While showing video of the fires, he and his fascist co host just whined about how this was all democrat's fault.

"Their taxes are so high that they should be able to instantly put out fires caused by a record breaking wind event! This proves democrats can't lead and liberalism is a failure," was the message.

Repubs called climate change a hoax for decades, prevented us from combating it, and now that climate change has arrived it's democrats fault for not having a magic wand to stop it.

Just like after the iraq war became a disaster, they tried to blame democrats for not STOPPING republicans from invading, even though at the time anyone who was against the war they attacked as being an anti american terrorist sympathizer.

Republicans create disasters then cry that it's someone else's fault.

There were never months of drought and 40 - 80 mph winds before all this woke DEI nonsense.

Because water in a lake is not the same as water pumped to the site of the fire. Water doesn't magically travel to where it's needed.

I am not sure how hard this is to understand. Are you really that dumb?

#14 | Posted by FedUpWithPols

No. It's an incredible weather situation driving the fire conditions.

#18 | Posted by Sycophant at 2025-01-10 03:21 PM

Natural disaster occurs.

Trump turns it into a blame game.

Deplorable Trumping MAGAts pile on.

This country is fkkked.
