Rafael Seirafe-Novaes (40) and Beatriz Rapoport De Campos Maia (29) were arrested for assault at Miami Intl Airport. The couple were denied boarding when they arrived late for their American Airlines flight to Cancn and attempted to force their way onto the flight. Both suspects ignored no trespassing signs and verbal commands from a ticket agent before busting through staff onto the restricted jet bridge. The two allegedly pushed and threw coffee at the staff and were charged with battery and trespassing. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. Photo courtesy of Miami Dade Corrections.
