Russia Warns Against US. Strike on Iran Nuclear Sites

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned there would be "catastrophic" consequences if the United States attacks Iran's nuclear infrastructure after a threat by President Donald Trump. Newsweek has reached out to the U.S. State Department and Iran's foreign ministry for comment.

Trumpf rained millions of dollars of munitions on the starving Houthis to kill a handful of their leaders and a lot of their civilians to help Bibi. The importance of Iran in Russia and China's economic and security strategies for southern and central Asia cannot be overstated.

I would doubt direct confrontation with America if Iran is hit, but I wouldn't be surprised if China and Russia both declare war on Israel who they have long determined to be the chief cause of ongoing turmoil in the ME.

Bibi used to semi-regularly fly to Moscow for talks with Putin and his flight would land in Baku, Azerbaijan for "re-fueling."

"Netanyahu was so proud of what he claimed was a close relationship with Putin that in 2019 he used photographs of them together as part of his election campaign. He has claimed on multiple occasions that their relationship was advantageous to Israel's strategic interests."

Objective analysis from anyone with half a brain leads to the same logical conclusion. Russia saw what Israel and America did with Syria and they have no intention of letting the same thing happen with Iran. Their whole southern flank would be exposed and such a scenario would be considered a long-term existential threat, as we have all seen with events in Ukraine.

China too, although they are less vocal about it.

I'm sure both are aware of the strategic importance of Diego Garcia and will provide/have provided Iran with the intelligence and military hardware necessary to neutralize the threat in an event of an attack. It's just a small ethnically-cleansed atoll that America and Britain violently forced all the natives off of some time ago.
