When all Americans have healthcare housing and food security, then cry to me about senor expatriate who needs his needs met. and then I'll say again- do it with your own money, not mine.

Besides, what would have US do, aside from gifting a freeride to senor dissident? Bomb his awful country? Instigate a bloody coup? Somehow interfere with what's happening there, and replace it with 'values' that have failed the test at home? Families broken, men emasculated, boys neutered, women gone wild, people pooping in the street?

...I had some friends with a chihuahua named Corky. My god that dog was cool. He won all the singing dog contests. His owners would say "opera dog" to him ("opry dog", exactly), and Corky would take it from there.
Well, came the day Corky went missing. Sad everywhere! Turns out, a whole year later, Corky was discovered only a block away, living with a Mexican family! I think they left him there. 'S been a long time...

Corky's owners were bikers, and Corky loved to ride in the jacket. My friend would carry him around like that, in his jacket with Corky's little head stickin out and nobody hardly ever noticed
