China bends the knee - AGAIN

A White House executive order Monday slashed the "de minimis" tariff on China shipments to 54% from 120%, with a $100 flat fee starting May 14.

More

Also on Tuesday, it was reported that China has lifted its ban on Boeing (BA) plane deliveries.

China begins issuing rare earth export permits China has started allowing some companies to export rare earth magnets again"materials that are essential for making things like electric cars.

Comments

This is what winning the trade war looks like. De minimis tariffs of 54% plus $100 flat fee basically is a meaningless concession as even with the reduced tariffs - those imports still drop to zero. In exchange, China is importing Boeing again and we get their rare earths. Total capitulation from China.

Ha ha ha.

We surrender and China agrees to make money by selling stuff to us again.

Yeah, that's China "bending the knee".

Man, you MAGA will believe anything.

I do think it's a significant problem for the Republic that Republicans can no longer discern fact from fiction.

Your comment here is extra ironic after I caught you posting fake number on the decreasing homicide rate thread. Yeah, I know you just made an honest mistake due to sheer stupidity and did not mean to lie.

Star Wars Andor is in its second season and the creator, Tony Gilroy, has described his writing process as, and I'm paraphrasing, we are looking at history books, not newspapers.

The most recent episode had a line that I can't help but associate with so much of what is currently going on in the GOP and in other far right parties across the globe.

"The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil."

All you said was "I DISAGREE WITH THOSE NUMBERS!" and ran away. Typical Jeff behavior.

You keep getting fact checked into oblivion.

"Trump lowered prices because inflation only went up .2% instead of .3%!"

"Trump waiving the white flag means China bent the knee!"

"Trump is the only president to lower homicide rates even though they have been dropping since COVID!"
