THREAD: We recently heard that the Trump administration was leaning on the government of Gambia to help Elon Musk. For weeks, our team made phone calls, wrote letters and knocked on folks' doors to try to confirm it. But we were stuck. So our reporters got on a plane to Banjul. 1/

Per CIA, English is the official language of Gambia which has a population of 2,523,327 people, evenly split between male and female. There are several tribes, but the people are mostly Muslim (96.4%) with a small Christian minority of 3.5%. GDP per capita is $2,900 and 21% of Gambians paid a bribe to a public official in the past twelve months: transparency.org

The well-to-do government of Ontario recently cancelled a $100m contract with Felon Musk to install Starlink for 15,000 homes up north:

So, how much money can Felon Musk possibly make off of these poor people in Gambia?

It's cool that The Gambia exists only along the shores of the Gambia River. It's not cool that they're in business with white supremacist Musk

Elon's $300,000,000 for the Trump 2024 campaign continues paying off in spades.

This follows the firings of numerous regulatory officials overseeing investigations into his companies that would have resulted in hundreds of millions if not billions in fines.

If Trump "86s" much more of our investigating arms of our low enforcement, there might not be anyone left to investigate him and his boondoggles, when he finally leaves office, if one can utter a hope.
Musk...the perfect Republican, in that he is all about himself, his massive ego, his greed addictions.

If the 'leaders' of those countries do not want their populace to have access to the Internet, Trump should stay out of it, because if the citizens get access it may lead to turmoil and strife in those countries.

IMO no USA pressure should be applied concerning internet access, as we all know the 'leader' of a country knows what is best for their citizens......
