The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is still recommending COVID vaccines for healthy children, according to the CDC's latest published immunization schedule.

RFK Jr. says the CDC will no longer recommend COVID vaccines for healthy pregnant women. Yet doctors have found that stillbirths can result from COVID directly infiltrating the placenta -- even for people whose COVID symptoms were mild or nonexistent. @deldeib.bsky.socialâ�¬'s story from 2022:

I do not disagree.

The CDC seems to have told Sec Kennedy to go take a hike, as your headline implies.

And, imo, that is A Good Thing.

But one question that lingers for me (and I had it when I wrote #2), how long might the Trump administration allow such CDC dissent?

Or will this turn into another TACO instance?

The individuals at the CDC making this recommendation did so only looking at the science and not present or future financial benefits that may or may occur with a future or previous employer. Sure.

That Harvard Gazette article isn't the first of its kind telling people they can't trust the FDA. The Harvard Medical Journal published two others explaining the dangers of rushing medications through just to turn a profit on a new patent. Funny how the other two articles are now behind a sign in screen and you need an account to access them since the clot shot came out.

The "clot shot" were adenovirus based vaccines from AstraZeneca and J&J.

They were both pulled from the market after a safety signal of about 130 cases out of millions of administered doses showed a low risk of clotting disorder in middle aged women.

FFS if for the ease of math, if you say an even 100 out of a million doses, you're at a 0.01% risk rate.

But we're talking about ~130 out of MILLIONS. And it got pulled, even when every vaccine was under an EUA. Thats hardly the picture you paint.
