What ICE Raids Are Doing to Los Angeles

The story is the same across Los Angeles county, home to countless communities that are heavily Latino and full of immigrant families or families with mixed status. Local news site L.A. Taco reports that many taco stands are temporarily closing, a staple food for workers across the city. (Their concerns are entirely reasonable: as L.A. Taco reported, an ICE raid on Jason's Tacos in East Los Angeles last week targeted both the taqueros, all of whom were abducted, and their customers.)

MacArthur Park, an area known for a huge number of vendors selling clothes, food and household wares to immigrant families, is also much quieter than usual. The enormous produce market in downtown Los Angeles--which supplies individuals as well as restaurants--is empty and full of rotting food, ABC 7 reported this week, with immigrant customers too afraid to show up to shop.

What are destructive riots doing to Los Angeles...

Nothing nearly as devastating as what Trump's horrible policies, failed trade wars and hateful attacks on California are doing.

Unfortunately you're an ignorant moron who only gets your new about California and Los Angeles from rightwing propaganda sources.

no big deal....this thriving economy even with an annual deficit of about 2o billion can make up anything

--put those homeless people that CAL does NOTHING but encourage to stay homeless ...to work.

Oh look, tweedledee and tweedledum agree with each other.

Who would have thought ignorant morons who get all their news from rightwing propaganda sources would have the same ignorant options.

What an absolute surprise.

I live here in the LA Metro Area. You don't know what you're talking about. There are no riots here.

ICE are MAGA gestapo

ICE are the teenagers conscripted at the end of WWII...

Gestapo would eat them alive, and send the survivors to Mauthausen with a smile on their faces :)

The president of the United States turned the military on his own people here in Los Angeles. Now he's bombing Iran illegally. You MAGA idiots better be prepared for the Find Out portion of what comes next ... you talk tough, but TACO seems to be SOP.
