The GOP is a death cult. No other way to say it.

#3 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2025-09-03 01:36 PM

idk at some level I think we are dealing with two extremes.

Push back from the enormous number of vaccines required today vs required in 1986.

THE GOP is being short sighted. The more girl children who die young due to disease means less sex slaves available in their teens.

"enormous number"

You're a god damned imbecile.

#7 | Posted by LegallyYourDead at 2025-09-03 01:54 PM

Yes, morons, this is exactly what you voted for.

#8 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis at 2025-09-03 02:02 PM

Science is Too Woke?

The Stupid, it Burns.

When all the childhood diseases come roaring back Americans won't be permitted to visit other countries for health reasons.

America will stew in disease and morbidity.

This somehow seems like a plan the Top .001% came up with.

Get rid of the Useless.

More air and space for the Elites.

Freedumb.

Gosh, I wonder what this double Ivy Leaguers's plan will do to Florida's children, education system, agriculture sector, cruise ship industry, and tourism?

The vaccination rates have dropped to dangerously low levels in Florida. The part of Florida I live in is 10% below what's required for herd immunity. It's going to be one hellova self-inflicted tragedy.

#11 | Posted by YAV at 2025-09-03 02:19 PM

Decades of public health progress ... pffft!
Elections have consequences.
And with this crew of malcontents, sociopaths, ignoramuses, haters, and freaks?
The horrendous consequences will be profound in their lethality.

#12 | Posted by Doc_Sarvis at 2025-09-03 02:30 PM

So any school, including private schools, be able to impose a vaccine mandate if they so choose?

#13 | Posted by eberly at 2025-09-03 02:37 PM

I doubt that. Public schools can't do anything the governor doesn't approve of. Books, sex-ed, dei, equal rights, actual black history, all controlled by the state of florida. I see nothing in any press releases that would allow any public school to require vaccinations and be allowed to go forward with that plan.

Private schools have no requirements at all. Not in education, teacher credentials, food, and the quality of the education they provide does not have to be available. I have no idea if any private school will be allowed to mandate vaccinations.

#14 | Posted by YAV at 2025-09-03 02:49 PM

if people choose not to get their kids vaccinated, can we put them in a camps and expose them to measles, polio and smallpox and let them die?

It's what they want, right?

The real problem is, Covid wasn't deadly enough.

It's a shame it didn't kill all the deplorable trumping MAGAts.

#15 | Posted by ClownShack at 2025-09-03 02:56 PM

Absolutely horrific policy that will cause Florida to be the source of numerous outbreaks across the country. As if I needed another reason to avoid that s*&^hole.

BTW bets on who will be the first moron to show up here proclaiming "duuhhhh If ThYe WoRkZ tHeN yOuz HaVE nUttInG toWoRrY AboUtZ!!"??

They can unless there's a law specifically barring that.

34% of private schools are catholic. The catholic church and its schools have a tradition of actively promoting vaccination.

You have to find some really wacked out fundamentalist christian private schools to go down that road.

Or just go to Florida.

I've known some real weirdo homeschoolers out there who didn't get their kids vaccinated. They benefit from the herd immunity around them.

I always said if they realized suddenly they lost that herd immunity, they'd drop their holier than thou attitude towards vaccinations in a new York minute.

Those folks appreciate the fact vaccinations have been mandated everywhere around them.

Let's see how they like this.

#19 | Posted by eberly at 2025-09-03 04:16 PM

BTW, Eberly - any records of COVID vaccinations, any requirement for COVID vaccinations were all mandated out of existence for ALL educational institutions in Florida. It was illegal to mandate it. The talk is the GOP legislators in Florida want that expanded to all vaccinations.

Given they've already done it for COVID, I'd bet that they're going to prohibit private schools mandating vaccination as a requirement to attend.

20

That's what I would assume as well.

Nuts

#21 | Posted by eberly at 2025-09-03 06:48 PM

Dr Mehmet Oz agrees with Florida that US states should not have childhood vaccine mandates. Of course he would say that. "Dr Oz" would make a fortune for himself with his immense portfolio of health insurance company stocks. Our sickness is their profit. Link: x.com

Translation: Florida is an insane asylum run by the sickest of the sick. It now will let Polio back into our country, and other horrible diseases as well.
As a kid in the 1950's I remember the terror that Polio caused parents and the medical world, until the Salk Vaccine came along.

#23 | Posted by Hughmass at 2025-09-04 07:51 AM

I imagine Disney World will see a huge drop off in visits once all these 19th century diseases a come back in Florida.

"Push back from the enormous number of vaccines required today vs required in 1986."

Vaccines are no just arbitrarily created. They are developed in response to serious health threats fron viruses. both long time threats and newer threats from viruses never seen before like COVID. Vaccines are only dveloped when a threat becomes so large that it is a serious threat to life. Today we have a laege anti-science movement opposed to vaccines which is basically insane as has been very publicly illustrated by some very unfortunate well known people who were convinced that science was the enemy and who died from preventable illness unnecessarily but thr forces of ignorance are still with us spouting insane conspiracy theories. We have several of these fools posting right here on this site. Ignorance is a prjrst President that embraced and enciuraged itobbeen with us but today we have the flem that has always been wuth us resident who embraces and ebcourages itbut today we have a President who embraces and encourages it.

The catholic church and its schools have a tradition of actively promoting vaccination.

That's because Catholics want more Catholics, not less.

#26 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-09-04 09:11 AM

So what? Get yourself vaccinated and laugh while all the morons get sick and die off. Make the best of it. This country is supposed to be about liberty. Fuggem'all.

#27 | Posted by lee_the_agent at 2025-09-04 09:13 AM

Unfortunately, Lee, it's not that easy.

We can laugh at them at first.

While whatever disease these filthy rpugs will be carrying around has time to mutate until eventually it can beat the vaccines.

Then, not so funny.

#28 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-09-04 09:17 AM

We will need FEMA camps to house the diseased repukes before that happens.

We'll call them rtard sanitariums.

#29 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-09-04 09:18 AM

That might be funny.

#30 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-09-04 09:18 AM

Or perhaps sani-rtardiums.

The biggest risk is for infants. If passive immunity from mom isn't enough or isn't present because the baby isn't breast fed, then they're wide open to diseases that were so detrimental to young children we developed vaccines in the first place.

Look up a video of an infant with whooping cough. It's horrific and unnecessary.

#34 | Posted by jpw at 2025-09-04 10:00 AM

Suit yourself, but I am through having empathy for morons. The more of them go, the lighter the world will feel. Hooray! We lost a moron!

#35 | Posted by lee_the_agent at 2025-09-04 10:02 AM

I think the Missouri GOP, not to be outdone in its MAGA fervor, will actually try to introduce as many diseases as it can in the state while it follows FL's lead to eliminate vaccine mandates. That'll show em!

#36 | Posted by HeeHaw at 2025-09-04 10:16 AM
