"America without its National Parks is like McDonald's without the hamburgers. You can still go there, I guess, but at that point it's just a bathroom." - Nick Offerman

Billionaires needed tax cuts.

Anything government does that helps regular people, provides services to people in need,or is beloved, like the national parks,is being eliminated or downsized as much as politically possible to give Billionaires and Corporations subsidies and tax relief.

These Corporations and high worth individuals are SUPERCITIZENS.

They get treated differently than everyone else. They get policies taylor made for their interests. They are Represented.

Everyone Else is Not.

Both parties play this game.

The Republicans are more open and Craven about it.

The Democratic leadership is equally quick to Pander to big Donors but they are less monolithic about it than the Republicans.

Those are the only viable choices.

Total Fealty to the Oligarchs is baked into the system.

It's worse lately but it's always been that way.
