Silicon Valley is Full of Wealthy Men Who Think They're Victims

Silicon Valley is full of hubris and hugely wealthy and macho men who think they are victims, the former politician and Facebook executive Nick Clegg has said. ... "In Silicon Valley, far from thinking they're lucky, they think they're hard done by, [that] they're victims. I couldn't, and still can't, understand this deeply unattractive combination of machismo and self-pity."

This is funny, because this is true in any city in the US that I have visited. I call it the White Tesla & Kitchening of America.

I am sort of a counter-culture of Silicon Valley, living just outside it in aggie area, similar to my hometown in China. Drive a F-250 7.3L Diesel, and drive a Prius.

Silicon Valley is in CA, the state that is a victim sanctuary and many of their cities cling to that status so it's not even arguable. It's not very surprising at all that even the rich of CA are going to act like victims. That's the CA culture, why expect anything else?
