Republicans' outlook on the direction of the country has soured dramatically, according to an AP-NORC poll that was conducted shortly after last week's shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

About three-quarters of Republican women say the country is going in the wrong direction, up from 27% in June. By comparison, 56% of Republican men say the country is going the wrong way, up from 30% in June.

imo, polls like this are the reason why MAGA is gerrymandering.

Stated differently, MAGA wants politicians to choose voters instead of the voters choosing the politicians.

I'll wager on the following:
-the majority of GOP voters do not realize that their 'party' controls both houses of the US Congress
-Most got a Covid shot or two, yet most will follow the advice of a heroin addict who plays a lawyer on TV and forego their shots this fall, with some fatal consequences
-Most long for jobs in manufacturing plants, where they can get union representation and better benefits, but most do not have the math skills to perform on a factory floor in the 21st century
-Most do not know who Charlie Kirk was, but have been told by a relative or friend that he was a saint among us
-Most would vote for Der Dotard again, because he says what they think...

Fun fact...in a focus group, 80% of respondents said they want manufacturing to return to the United States and less than 25% are willing to work in a factory.
