A former DACA recipient died in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Victorville, California, on Sunday, according to a news release.
A 39-year-old man, who was a former DACA recipient, died in federal custody at a California hospital -- one day after he was transferred from one of the state's largest ICE detention centers.
