DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Suspends Green Card Lottery

A program that allowed legal immigration into the U.S. has been stopped after the administration learned that the Brown University shooting suspect had entered the country using that green card lottery.

President Donald Trump has suspended a diversity green-card lottery program after authorities said that the suspected gunman in the Brown University and MIT shootings used the program to gain entrance to the United States.

Approximately 50,000 immigrants benefit from the Green Card program every year. So, because of the actions of one deranged person, 50,000 people next year (and more afterwards) will be denied Permanent Residency status in the US thanks to S/DHS Kristi Noem and the xenophobic Trump junta.

As a Green Card applicant I am ok with this; people shouldn't get citizenship because of a lottery system, how ridiculous.
