Jared Kushner's Gaza Ceasefire/Land Grab Deal

It was a strong diplomatic sentiment for a man whose boss had threatened to unleash "hell" in Gaza.

But the soft-spoken heir to his father's real estate empire has quietly become a key conduit for Trump's outreach to the Middle East, leveraging his Rolodex of leaders in the region and positioning himself to win a lucrative windfall if the goal of redeveloping Gaza ever comes to fruition.

Comments

"Now, Kushner, who manages billions of dollars in investments including from Saudi Arabia and Qatar's sovereign wealth fund in his investment company Affinity Partners, sits at the nexus of power in Washington DC.

"Of course there's an enormous conflict of interest here," said Matt Duss, the executive vice-president at the Center for International Policy, who described the influence-peddling in the administration as open corruption.

But, he added: "Part of what's bizarre is that the Trump organisation is so deeply leveraged in the Middle East that the corruption could sustain the ceasefire. Because they all stand to make so much money there is an interest and an incentive to kind of stop the war."

imo, the major question is along the lines of ...

How will the Palestine people benefit from any of these "deals" that have been proposed?

"Now that we have received the hostages, we must return to war and open the gates of hell upon Gaza."

According to the Palestinian Health Authority, the bodies of 57 slain human beings, including 45 directly targeted by IDF bombing and 12 whose bodies were recovered from rubble, were admitted to Gaza hospitals. 158 casualties were also admitted to Gaza medical facilities. Since 7 Oct 2023, Israel has killed 68,216 Muslims, mostly women and children, while maiming and injuring another 170,361.

In two separate reports earlier this year and in 2024, The New York Times wrote that the IDF created an 'army of orphans' and a 'legion of amputees' in the Gaza Strip. Anyone on the planet can easily find these reports on the internet.

By pencil and paper estimates, as well as AI calculations, the IDF is on pace to kill 70,000 to 72,000 human beings in Gaza by the end of the year.

So far, ethnic cleansers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich remain unindicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague, unlike Benjamin Netanyahu and ex-DM Yoav Gallant, who have international arrest warrants for crimes against humanity issued against them. Indictments are merely allegations. Both Messrs Netanyahu and Gallant are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in an international tribunal to be held for them at a future date in the Hague.

Good luck to any AIPAC-funded American candidate seeking national office in future elections.

History indicates they will do fine. Money talks.

@#2 ... How will the Palestine people benefit from any of these "deals" that have been proposed? ...

Will there be, or will there not be, a self-governing Palestine State established?

Hi Redial:

Long time no chat. You could be right, but I hope not. Let's see what happens in NYC in a few weeks.

BTW: You are lucky in Canada not to have AIPAC blighting your Parliament Hill. The closest I have observed is an MP named Anthony Housefeather who represents an affluent riding in Montreal. Was my OP about Quebec's life expectancy accurate?

JD Vance is again taking a taxpayer-funded junket, this time to Israel, in the middle of the government shutdown. What, Ambassador Mike Huckabee, Jared Kushner, Marco Rubio, and Steve Witkoff are incapable/incompetent of getting things done?

Talk talk talk is all we get out of the Trumpf junta.

Trumpf: "I'm gonna talk to Putin in Alaska," "I'm gonna talk to Putin in Hungary," "I talked to Putin on the phone." Blah-blah-blah.

Now JD Vance is going to Jerusalem to "talk."
