Project 2025 Healthcare Plan

AI Key proposals within the Project 2025 healthcare plan include: Affordable Care Act (ACA): The plan calls for rolling back federal insurance protections, allowing a separate, deregulated insurance market not subject to ACA standards, and expanding access to "junk" insurance plans that offer less comprehensive coverage. These changes could make coverage unaffordable for people with pre-existing conditions and result in millions becoming uninsured.

"Medicare and Medicaid The blueprint recommends significant reductions to both Medicare (half a trillion dollars in cuts) and Medicaid (a trillion dollars in cuts).

Prescription Drug Prices It proposes removing the ability of Medicare to negotiate drug prices, a power it was granted under current law.

Reproductive Health Proposals include actions to restrict abortion access, such as reviving the 19th-century Comstock Act to ban the mailing of abortion medications and materials, and reversing the FDA's approval of mifepristone.

Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) The plan advocates for taking partisan control of key government agencies, including the HHS, and realigning some programs.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) The project seeks to make the NIH less independent and defund stem cell research."

For people curious about what the GOP healthcare plan will be.

... allowing a separate, deregulated insurance market not subject to ACA standards, and expanding access to "junk" insurance plans that offer less comprehensive coverage. ...

So, in summary, the GOP wants less healthcare for Americans and, not only that, but an unregulated healthcare environment

That aside ...

The trump administration seems to be following the dicta laid out in the Project 2025 treatise, to the point of giving one of its main authors (if not the main author a significant position in the Trump administration.

Project 2025 seems to me to be little more than a road map to kill democracy and turn the Country into an aristocracy.

"Just die already" is their health plan.

It's a good thing for democratic candidates that republicans are as bad as they are. Otherwise, democrats wouldn't get half the votes that they get!
