Dummkopf Trumpf signed an executive order in March seeking to close the Department of Education. Congress has not acted on or seriously considered Trumpf's idiotic request or EO. Educated people are the enemy of fascists and oligarchs, and this move will harm minorities, women, and the under-privileged, so this dismantling makes sense.

Secretary of Uneducation Linda McMahon has acknowledged that only Congress can eliminate the department but vowed to do everything in her power to destroy it from within. This geriatric gorgon also began a draconian campaign to collect on defaulted college school loans as soon as she assumed power in the diabolical Trumpf junta.

Republicans are gleefully permanently and cruelly dismantling beneficial agencies like USAID or the Dept of Education as is they are never relinquishing power in 2028. The next non-Republican POTUS will have the uneviable and Herculean task of reconstructing America's institutions with much less money in the US economy to work with. Firing the army of ICE thugs will provide an off-set. Germany's reunification took years and billions of Deutschmarks to complete which is one example we can learn from. America's failed 19th century Reconstruction Era is another.
