LOWEST LEVEL OF OPTIMISM IN YEARS???

For some reason, (known only to Trump) that fits right in with his game plan. Could it be because he thinks a demoralized country is easier to control when he becomes dictator.

That a demoralized country will stop expecting.
That a demoralized country feels it's hopeless to fight back.
That a demoralized country will just lay down and rolls over.
That a demoralized country will just be grateful for whatever scraps he doles out.

Trump has always considered himself The Omnipotent One. (It's getting worse)

Now, somewhere in the recesses of his advancing dementia, he thinks he can make it all fall in place.

Under different non-political circumstances, Trump would be a pitiful old man rattling the bars on the doors and windows of an institution.
