GOP Push Would Drastically Change how Americans Cast Ballots

Explaining the SAVE America Act, which is getting a vote this week.

I read the "SAVE Act" (the GOP's new voter suppression bill) so you don't have to. This is my one page summary. Jesus it's bad. 1/[image or embed]

"If passed, the SAVE Act will disenfranchise 20 million voters."

Trump has pushed the Republicans to hold a vote in the House this week.

We keep overlooking the good things Trump is doing for America.

The GOP at this point fears mass prosecutions because if the House flips then the criminality of the majority of them will be made evident.

Criminality, to include bribery, fealty to foreign powers, and sexual perversion.

In other words, pretty much everything Trump is doing.

It's such a well-worn playbook too.

The success of the Propaganda Model remains the enduring political lesson of the 20th century.

The bill faces a 60-vote threshold in the 53-47 Republican-controlled Senate, making passage highly unlikely (notes Votebeat).

Donnie the Law Ditcher has to ditch the filibuster to get it passed.

Good luck with that.

Basically this would stop most married Republican women from voting. It's kind of funny.

#5 | Posted by Sycophant at 2026-02-10 10:18 AM

They will do everything they can to cheat.

Period.

This is no different.

Because they have nothing to offer the voters.

More absurd theater just to bolster 0-evidence claims of voter fraud.

At this point, republicans fall into two overlapping groups: idiots and/or liars.

Iowa school chief voted in Maryland.

Pakastani citizen admitted voting in US election from Pakistan.

there's two....which by my calculation is 2 more then 0.

--and there's about 300,000 ballots in Georgia that were falsified.

don't certainly don't let any real info distract you from your puke.

that's almost as big a lie as the olympic boxer who ALL OF YOU SAID was a woman,

but who just admitted his testosterone level is male as well as admitting

that he took drugs to lower his T-level...

"you people" lied about that...and you cruds are lying about this.

It's easy to play tennis if you shun use of a net.

We therefore never expect you to make any argument that does not include a lie.

Oh, and release the Epstein Files.

You pigs are left with no excuse not to after Friday, save that you're pigs.

"Iowa school chief voted in Maryland."

^
No he didn't.
You know they actually know who voted, right?

#14 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-02-10 11:48 AM

"there's about 300,000 ballots in Georgia that were falsified."

One of the "tells" someone is in an information bubble.

Hey STD: try using a news outlet who doesn't think you can't handle the truth. Spoiler alert: the courts have already ruled on the "falsification" lie.

Why do your news outlets believe you can't abide the facts???

#15 | Posted by Danforth at 2026-02-10 11:57 AM

It will disenfranchise illegal voters!

Democrats can't have that!

#16 | Posted by THEBULL at 2026-02-10 11:59 AM

"there's about 300,000 ballots in Georgia that were falsified."

So then how come Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) couldn't find the missing votes?

#17 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-02-10 12:02 PM

Always remember, if STD happens to call someone "too f/g illiterate", just remind him that he's too f/g stupid to even recognize words that are spelled correctly, to wit:

#50 STD says, "too f/g illiterate to know how to spell unanimous..."

...in response to my #47:

The reviews are in and the verdict is unanimous

#47 | Posted by A_Friend at 2026-01-29 12:43 PM

Quite obviously, STD "thinks" that unanimous is NOT spelled unanimous.

I believe that he is unanimously stupid.

But, I report, you decide.

;-)

Is that the same as having a penis?
Because I thought it was having a penis, not some nonsense about blood levels, that makes someone a man.
I suspect you're walking back from that whole "having a penis" thing, after your stopped working.

#16 | Posted by THEBULL

Can you show us all these illegal voters?

Trump can't. The DOJ can't. The GOP can't. Fox News, Newsmax, etc. can't.

Where are they?

#20 | Posted by Sycophant at 2026-02-10 12:22 PM

"If rogue federal agents can shoot American citizens dead with total impunity, then it doesn't matter whether state and local authorities, the courts, the media, the political opposition, and a mobilized public object. "ICE > MN," Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote on social media"an assertion of raw force, not constitutional authority. When Trump and his loyalists call protesters terrorists and warn that disobeying orders will get you killed, they strip away any illusion that the federal government respects the lives, let alone the rights, of those who oppose it"potentially half the population or more."

83% favor showing voter id to vote. That includes 71% Democrats and 73% blacks.

Of course, the FACE Act is more than just voter ID but when Democrats call voter ID Jim Crow 2.0 they are again on the wrong side of am 80/20 issue. When Georgia implemented similar measures voter participation actually increased.

#22 | Posted by BellRinger at 2026-02-10 12:33 PM

"but when Democrats call voter ID Jim Crow 2.0 they are again on the wrong side of am 80/20 issue."

80% of the people want Jim Crow?
That's some spin.

With all this support for voter ID, when are Republicans going to provide every American Citizen with a free nationwide Federal Voter ID?

You'll never answer that question.

#23 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-02-10 12:34 PM

"83% favor showing voter id to vote."

Until the aspects are explained to them.

Republican women better have their passports on them. Even a marriage certificate won't count, if her name doesn't match her birth certificate.

Are YOU in favor of that aspect?
