The Dept of Education ordered a significant portion of staffers in the Office for Civil Rights to come back later this month. In the "return to duty" directive, officials acknowledged they're facing a sizable caseload of civil rights complaints, and they underscored a need to utilize every resource at the government's disposal to work through them. The agency said the request applies to roughly 250 workers who've been on administrative leave for months amid legal challenges to their March firings. A spokesperson bleated there still aren't any plans to fully rehire those workers permanently.

The sinister Trumpf junta has proceeded to dismantle the Education Department, despite lacking the necessary congressional support to do so. They have also changed the definition of 'profession,' making access to school loans or aid difficult for Americans not born into the oligarch class. Linda McMahon is also vigorously pursuing delinquent school loans to further pauperize Americans in the Republican Party War on Education, just as the draconian "BBB" kicks in.

At a conference of educators earlier this year, selfish superrich good-for-nothing geriatric Linda McMahon (76) referred to AI (Artificial Intelligence) as A.1. steak sauce.

You want them to come back so that you can fire them again.

@2 Hi Zed: Trumpf junta members are all pigs, shamelessly gorging themselves at the trough of hard earned American taxpayer money, led by a selfish senile superrich swineherd.

And on Tuesday 5 Nov 2024, another day that will live in infamy (like today), 77,302,580 Americans (49.8% of eligible voters), idiotically propelled this oligarchic racist warmongering fascist junta into power which is destroying the quality-of-life of everyday Americans day in and day out.

Why should any of these workers want to return to the chaos and moral dumpster of the government work place? I understand the financial need to have a good paying job but not being valued for doing your job leaves a big hole in the self-esteem. That eventually wears on a worker to realize they are not valued for the contributions they make towards the whole of the task. I'm sure it would not be long before the crying over lost workers turned to the attitude of "We can replace you very easily".

The heads of these government branches were not confirmed for their expertise but rather for their loyalty. Loyalty does not necessarily mean competence as we are seeing from the result of the change in administration and who they put into those slots. There is a constant 'egg on the face' from those in charge of those branches and it results in the CYA of it rolling downhill rather than sticking to where it really belongs. Again another wear on the moral of the employee.

I'm 100% positive I would not want to be a government worker in today's work place.

I'm glad I'm retired, but I feel awful for the younger folks who had aspirations to do good deeds for the American people through our once effective civil service: NWS, NOAA, PHS, NASA, DOE, FBI, etc etc.

I'd expect back pay from date or termination to the date of recall.

I would not return for a short term without a staggering hiring bonus and a solid contract.
