US Bombers, Japanese Anti-Ship Fighters Take Flight

American strategic bombers trained alongside Japanese aircraft in what Washington and Tokyo described as a demonstration of their resolve following recent military tensions between Japan and China this week.

The Japan-China tensions currently seem not to be reducing.

But that is just my opinion.

Have they found a way to make B-52s "stealthy"? It looks like this "tactical exercise" is just more sabre rattling.

@#3 ... It looks like this "tactical exercise" is just more sabre rattling. ...

yea, I do not necessarily disagree.

But ...

"Saber-rattling" a.k.a. known as a show of what was "described as a demonstration of their resolve" in the article.

My concern at this point is that the current Japan-China issue does not seem to be showing any indication of being reduced.

Instead, it seems to be escalation.

I mean, just last week, if we were discussing the China-Japan situation, would we have been talking about strategic US bombers being involved?

imo, this situation is not moving in an calming direction.

would we have been talking about strategic US bombers being involved?

Probably. Lewzer loves parades and flybys. He likes B-52s because they are big. Did the same thing off Venezuela. And Russia.

I have a feeling that, on this one, Admiral Yamamoto might concur.

Stealth is for moving into enemy airspace. B-52s shoot LRASM from 500 miles away.
