Chris Hedges: America Is a Gangster State

The kidnapping of Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and his wife solidifies America's role as a gangster state. Violence does not generate peace. It generates violence.

More

The immolation of international and humanitarian law, as the U.S. and Israel have done in Gaza, and as took place in Caracas, generates a world without laws, a world of failed states, warlords, rogue imperial powers and perpetual violence and chaos.

Comments

"If there is one lesson we should have learned in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya, it is that regime change spawns Frankensteinian monsters of our own creation.

The Venezuelan military and security forces will no more accept the kidnapping of their president and U.S. domination " done as in Iraq to seize vast oil reserves -- than the Iraqi security forces and military or the Taliban.

This will not go well for anyone, including the U.S."

"How can I get the media off of the Epstein Files?!"

"We could Invade Venezuela, kidnap the First Family, and take all their Oil!"

"That's right... and you speak Spanish, right, Little Marco?"

"Yes! Sorta."

"Great! Nobody likes them anyway... and invading another country for their Oil is so, so... Iraq! I love it!".

Is there a Nobel War Prize? If so, Der Dotard has some stiff competition in Bibi, Little Man Vlad and Xi Xi. I suspect they will fight it out ...

Anyone remember what Obama said was his worst decision of his presidency?

Hint: It's not the bombing of the wedding or the funeral...

Remember what Trumpy (our current president) said?

"I'll tell you, that's the toughest question I can have because I don't really believe I've made mistakes,"

lol yes. He literally said that.

A few big powers rule our lives, and probably our futures, if we have any. At the top of the list is "big oil", they are the ones, I am sure, who grease the Trump gang's palms with enough wealth to have them try to destroy wind and wave and solar power so greenhouse gas producing oil dominates the energy outlook.
