Mexican Drug Cartel: "Shoot at US Border Patrol Agents"

The FBI warned US Border Patrol agents working along the US-Mexico border to maintain a heightened sense of awareness because the leaders of a notorious Mexican drug cartel ordered members to shoot at federal agents from across the border.

The FBI warned that Jalisco New Generation Cartel leadership has ordered members to shoot at US CBP agents across the border. The alert was sent specifically to agents working within the Border Patrol's San Diego Sector.

At times Mexican drug cartels either cooperate with each other or they fight against each other to control the lucrative drug trafficking routes from Mexico into the US. The Border Patrol memo says that attacks on US federal immigration agents would "bring heavy scrutiny and retribution" from both the US and the Mexican government to the cartels controlling those areas.

When the insatiable American demand for illegal drugs ends along with the southward-bound "Iron River" of illegal firearms into Mexico is dammed up, there will be a significant drop in violence on both sides of the US-Mexico border. There is only one firearm store in the entire country of Mexico, located on a military base near Mexico City. Most of the weapons used by the drug cartels to kill civilians, police officers, politicians, rival members, or Mexican soldiers, are manufactured in the US and smuggled into Mexico by American gun-runners.

The Mexican government is suing US firearm manufacturers for $10bn.

Really bad idea.

I worked Counter-Drug missions in Honduras for a while. The organized crime networks down there did not screw with gringos. It's cheaper to lose a few shipments than have to worry about an A-10 dropping a JDAM on you.

"I worked Counter-Drug missions in Honduras for a while."

Did you even care when Trump pardoned your #1 target, the President of Honduras?

Given that, I'd say that Trump is spreading propaganda in advance of starting a war with Mexico.

Yes, air strikes in the territory of Mexico is war against Mexico.
