CT: Christian Pastor Charged with Severe Animal Cruelty

Episcopalian pastor Lisa Levy (48) of Hamden CT was arrested for allegedly abusing multiple rescue animals she adopted, leaving them with severe chemical burns, broken bones, skin lesions, and neurological issues, some of them dying from her cruelty.

Lisa Levy was a pastor at Trinity on the Green Episcopal Church, though it was unclear whether she remained employed there. Map: Hamden CT

Trinity on the Green Episcopal Church removed all references to Levy from its website. An archive of the page shows her bio that includes the line: "When not at work, Lisa likes to read, write, spend quality time with close friends, and love on her four elderly rescue pets."

This sadist is expected back in court on Friday 6 March .

You could read all the unspeakable cruelties this faux Christian allegedly inflicted on these innocent, defenseless animals in the article.

An indictment or arrest is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

WTF is wrong with this horrible woman?!

For someone who's supposed to be preaching love and compassion, she's done the opposite. And in the most horrible ways. I hope she goes to jail for a long time.

------

We adopted a young, terribly emaciated stray 5 months ago after someone posted about him on FB. He was headed to the rural kill shelter where he would have completely shut down before being euthanized.

He was a fearful skeleton who'd been wandering a rural area. For the first month or two, he hid himself away behind a dining room table (where we put a pallet of comforters for his comfort) and would tremble anytime someone approached.

He needed 20 lbs to reach normal weight. When I couldn't see his ribs anymore I started taking him with our other rescue to a 12 acre dog park. He started playing with other dogs almost immediately. I handed treats to people and asked them if they'd offer him one in an open palm when we approached next time. After a month of that, he began trusting strangers.

It's been a joy watching him blossom, like a seed that's been watered with love, fun, patience, treats, and grow.

This morning, his tail was wagging as he joyfully came to the side of the bed, happy when I wooke up. He's a wonderful boy.
