Faculty Flee Texas Censorship

Fed up with the state's censoring of Plato, Joan of Arc and Romeo and Juliet, humanities professors are leaving Texas public institutions in pursuit of academic freedom.

More

They mocked the field of gender studies as meaningless, but I think they really just knew it was onto them. They're the softest bunch of insecure little manchildren play-acting what they have been told is manly and macho. (gift link)

Hijabi wearing grannies from Dagestan could easily put Trump, Rubio, Vance and Hegseth into everlasting headlocks. Would pay big $$$ to see in some Octagon.

Can a country be half fascist and half democratic with strong adherence to Constitutional protections against establishment of religion and protections for free speech?

It's hilarious when actual feminine men try to play the "macho" card.

True enough. I'm not in humanities, but I'm leaving. Soon. Two interviews lined up. The writing is on the wall, and it is more and more about dictating faculty thought, writing, and lecturing. We already have a toll-free number and a state office dedicated to nothing but reporting public school teachers and professors of unorthodoxy. Enough. For example, do you know colleges are forbidden explicitly from purchasing goods or services from any individual or company that boycotts Israel? That all faculty Senates in public colleges were dissolved? There is no collegial relationship. It is all top-down dictation, starting from the head of Abbottistan himself.
