We haven't even really begun to feel the effects of Trump's stupid trade war. Businesses don't know what to do, the prices of everything from Canadian 2x4's for home construction to auto parts to steel that goes into making a panoply of products are going up up up, causing insurance premiums to also rise

This stupid trade war is going to boomerang through just about every facet of consumer and industrial goods.

And killing the "de minimus" exemption means a myriad of what were once low cost goods now have steep tariffs.

BTW, China controls 90% of rare metals used in the vast majority of electronics from phones to computer chips and a slew of others.

I remember during a visit to a friend in Manhattan back in 2008, he told me firms in the financial district had laid off thousands of Americans and replaced them with imported Indian H1-B workers who they could pay a fraction to.

All so the rich could get richer.

So far, 3 days into the hurricane season

- 80,000 job cuts in the VA system will certainly hurt a lot of veterans

- Medicaid cuts will cause countless rural hospitals to close

- Senniors will have to drive hundreds of miles to straighten out their Social Security with the closing of SS offices across America, and wait on the phone for hours because of staff cuts

Etc etc etc

All so billionaires can get their debt-skyrocketing tax cuts.
