That is such a load of crap.
The number one thing Palestinians always say is: "this has always been our land".
Well yes.
You've lived there. But never ruled it.
The Jews have ALWAYS lived there as well. And they at one point ruled it. So who has the stronger claim to take it over as the Brit's withdrew?
Well, an international body consulted on that very thing and decided that the Jews claim was the strongest.
They could have waited to see what the new government meant for them. But they didn't. They had no idea if it was going to be second class status, full and equal rights, complete annihilation ... . They knew NOTHING. instead of just being patient, and not violent ------, they attacked and vowed to murder their very neighbors before the ink was dry.
And it's more than them just given the Syrian and Egyptian armored maneuver room. Many Palestinians joined those two armies and attacked their own country!
They caused the reactionary Jewish response. It can't be denied. The root cause of this falls squarely at the feet of the Palestinians. There is no reasonable debate about that.
Come on.
The operative words are:
"During the war"
During ... .as in, they had already attacked for no reason whatsoever ... ..
But it was a swell try.
