In 2013 when the GOP shut down the government by filibustering a clean CR Dems rightly derided them: Pass a clean CR and then fight your other political battles. They were right then and I agreed with them. I thought Ted Cruz was being beyond stupid. Now we have the exact same set of circumstances with parties on the opposite side of the equation and people like Zed want the government shut down in perpetuity until the GOP caves to 100% of what Dems want.
