Right now everything feels uncertain as if the country is hanging in the balance.

There are definitely people who wouldn't mind seeing America fail. Some of them even live here and probably post on this very site.

But there are also people who want to see this country recover and thrive.

The truth is, America's been under pressure for decades economically, socially, and politically.

America's future is really all up in the air.

We've yet to see how Trump's actions will ultimately succeed or fail.

Just watch for Democrats to take credit for anything positive that comes out of Trump's actions.

WhiteHouse.gov is a brillant idea.

High time for something like that from our government.

It's in their best interest for America to have a financial stake in their future.

If we're there we aren't abandoning them. Instead, we're investing in their future.

Did agreeing to defend them mean we'll do it for perpetually for free and not be entitled to be compensated in some way?

The last few years I have been stunned how the dems are on the wrong side of every social issue.

Their comeback is usually some emotional appeal about "compassion" or "equity," but when you dig deeper its less about problem solving and more about virtue signaling or blindly singing the party line.

Especially now going into the summer.

Imagine if Hollywood couldn't get their party favors.

It's not that Democrats love the gangs.

They just don't want to cause a nationwide drug shortage.

It would be more manageable to charge employers who hire them.

Strictly require E-Verify and harsh punishment if you hire them.

Enforce the laws.

Both reps and dems do it.

Don't pretend it's only one or the other who hires them.

Addressing the moral aspect would be complicated but an open border free for all isn't the answer.

We need Constitutional Reform as follows:

Streamlined paths for:
Asylum seekers
Refugees
Economic migrants
Family reunification
Maybe even regional processing centers abroad (e.g., in Central America) to apply before entering U.S. territory.

Zero Tolerance for Illegal Entry
Anyone who crosses outside those legal channels:
Automatically forfeits access to asylum or hearings.
No due process, no appeals.
Fast-track removal within days, not years.
This would be codified in law, maybe even backed by constitutional amendment to override existing precedent.

End Incentives to Cross Illegally
No public benefits
No ability to work
No anchor effect (e.g., birthright citizenship reconsideration for children of illegal entrants)

Maintain Tight Constitutional Boundaries
Rights preserved for citizens and legal residents.
Rights forfeited if you bypass the legal process.

Much of the problems we face today were caused by liberalism. Too permissive. Too quick to tear down traditions without understanding why they exist. Too willing to trade self-discipline for indulgence, responsibility for victimhood, unity for identity politics and enabling the very worst of human nature.

We were told it was progress but they lied.

When people can no longer speak freely without fear, when institutions meant to educate instead indoctrinate, when crime rises without consequences, when families crumble and no one dares address the root of the problem, that's when the pendulum begins to swing back.

Back in the early 80s, I worked part-time at a federal government office after class.

The running joke? "Get a government job and you're set. You won't get fired."

What does it say when job security is tied more to the system than to performance?

Now Murkowski's upset but why? Isn't it mostly because people with lifetime job expectations are feeling the axe?

Government bureaucracy has ballooned into something massive, inefficient, and unaccountable. And now that it's getting trimmed, suddenly it's a crisis.

Maybe the real problem is that the system protected itself for too long and now it feels unfair to those who are part of it.

People worry about a police state because they fear a dictator might rise and take control.

But what if a leader's actions seem authoritarian, not because they want more power, but because they're pushing back against a political movement using the courts to force an anti-constitutional agenda?

2016 was also the year people put Trump in office. All that year it was believed Hillary was a sure thing up until about 9 PM the day of the election when the SNL cast realized all their shows made for the last 6 months will never go into syndication. The gloating got tiring with Alec Baldwin doing Trump and Kate McKinnon doing Hillary.

That year I voted for Trump after having voted a straight democrat ticket consistantly after Reagan.

Why?

Having just seen Gay Marriage passed by the Supreme Court the year before I realized the SCOUS could actually possibly make women permanent second class citizens to transgendered people. OMG...it could actually happen.

Whoever was the next president would very likely have an opportunity to nominate 3 justices and that will never do.

Bottomline, I wonder how many other people saw this possibiliy and quietly voted for Trump without it showing up in polls.

Conservatives tend to keep their opinions to themselves and most likely would not tell pollsters.

On May 10, 2016 I posted in response to a transgender news story revolving around a girl in a high school, Gavin Grimm, who wanted to use the boys restroom and was banned. Around 2016, the issue of transgender students and bathroom access exploded into a national controversy, largely due to political and legal battles sparked by high-profile cases and government actions. That was essentally when the word "transgender" entered the vernacular of straights who really knew nothing or even cared about the subject.

Where this transgender thing is going.
Here's what I see happening in the future.
The rights of millions of women to their privacy will ultimately win out and transgendered people will have to use either their "natural" bathroom or a single occupancy unisex facility. After all is said and done, transgendered people will rue the day their cause was picked up by the gay rights movement. (gay rights and transgender issues are not that connected...if you look at the big picture)
Transgendered people will be forced to obey new laws when they could have simply used the opposite facility quietly without a lot of drama before the gay rights people decided a few teenage kids who aren't old or experienced enough to make such a decision were pushed along by adults with an agenda.
Straight people will eventually say enough is enough.
Invading the privacy of women is insanity.
Liberals are the new definition of "rebels without a cause".
They're desperate to remain relevant.
