That's not how leadership works. The Pope's travel decisions are based on logistics, security, and political implications and not just "would he want to."

He has a much bigger set of obligations to even consider putting himself in danger.

Madonna is reportedly asking the Pope to go to Gaza.

That sounds noble at first glance but let's remember what Scripture warns us.

Publicly urging a spiritual leader to walk straight into one of the most volatile war zones on earth isn't just risky.

It's tempting fate and using faith as a stunt. Scripture makes it clear. We're not called to demand proof of God's protection through reckless acts.

Faith is not a dare.

I can see then the VA won't provide abortions.

Makes sense to me.

Frankly, if the primary objective is combat readiness, a pregnant service member will require specialized care and limited duty.

If she chooses an abortion, that decision supports combat readiness and it doesn't conflict with it.

By contrast, service members who undergo gender altering surgery will face longer recovery times and extended limited duty, which can hinder combat readiness, supporting the point I made in my previous post.

In some cases, they may never be fully combat ready again.

If the VA goes through with this, I see it as a mistake.

There's a reasonable justification for declining gender altering procedures provided by the VA.

But I see no legitimate reason to deny abortions unless the policy is being driven by religious pressure.

Biden has said VA rules override state laws, and I have no problem with that either.

I'd ask God about that too.

Because it's big pill to swallow that a national election held in the middle of a global pandemic with massive rule changes, mail-in voting expansions, ballot drop boxes popping up overnight, and election workers stretched thinner than ever, was somehow cleaner than prior or past elections that weren't half as chaotic.

The idea that "everything went fine" in a situation where the odds of human error, confusion, or outright misconduct were higher than ever, is hard to believe, for anyone who still thinks.

That is a peculiar thing considering other elections there are numerous reported incidents.

Since I'm going to be asking a God who knows all, I'd ask God who really won the election.

What is the final count if you factor out the ballot harvesting, adjust the numbers for lost and miscounted ballots. And fix the human error that occured but never found out. Since God is all knowing, He could do all that.

Using God's almighty power, what was the real final tally?

Hey...try adding the possibility of non human life visiting or existing on Earth. I've posted about that, and the evidence is only growing stronger.

We're living on a round rock, spinning through a vacuum, in a universe that may be infinite. Just visualizing that is overwhelming.

Like you, the older I get, the more I'm amazed by the complexity of life. I've experienced multiple extraordinary "coincidences" that shaped my life in ways I can't explain.

Here's where we differ.

You seem to be moving toward the idea that the extraordinary is implausible. Belief in the unseen, including the spiritual, is too far fetched.

I'm going the opposite direction.

The older I get, the more I believe that what we don't yet understand or haven't personally experienced may still be entirely real.

In a universe this vast, with laws still beyond our grasp, how can we be so sure what's improbable?

Regardless of how you get there, you're right. Jesus said everyone is a sinner.

That's why I find it pointless when people waste time finger pointing and judging each other.

Following Jesus isn't about picking Bible verses that make good memes. It's a mindset. It's a way of seeing and living that sets you apart from those who don't share it.

Some people will hate for it.

You're not fit to judge them. But some of them will judge you and call you a hypocrite.

And honestly? They're not wrong.

Who really fills Jesus' shoes? No one. We just try to follow Him and that alone is enough to invite scorn.

Jesus recognized back at that time some people would take offense to His message of repenting for your sins.

People take great pride in seeing themselves in a positive light.

Zed seemed to show a higher regard for red letter words. Jesus said he will set fathers against sons and mothers against daughters. He will be responsible for causing enemies within families.

All this love and harmony peopke like to attribute to Christianity mostly exists on Hallmark cards and car window stickers.
