She don't need confirmation by society.

But some trans-women do feel they need confirmation, otherwise they would just be who they are and disregard who does or doesn't use their pronoun.

Furthermore, the conversation is getting off track because some people are confusing drag queens with transgender.

They don't understand that transgender is a life style change. Not just a costume change.

Civil Unions sounded like a good idea from other states that had that.

The word "marriage" sounded like it would lead to law suits involving churches some day. It still might.

My personal opinion on the religious aspect of same-sex marriages is simply personal and doesn't need to be brought into it.

Gays aren't expecting anyone to give up anything. Gays don't require others to change to make room for them.

Trans are making unreasonable exorbitant demands on society and individuals to change to suit their lifestyle.

I've said more than once religion and government (law) don't always mesh.

Some people seem to think they should if it suits your need to use one to support or defend the other.

As a Christian, I believe it's wrong like I also believe abortion is wrong.

However, on a practical level, I disagreed with overturning Rowe V Wade.

And, again on a practical level, I'm not opposed to the idea of assisted suicide.

But I also understand the father who wasn't ready to lose his daughter.

Then his lawyer got it thrown out since there was no proof and claimed "the cop administered the sobriety test incorrectly".

All Timberlake got was a moving violation.
