Not to interfere with the circular firing squad, and certainly Dems made plenty of mistakes, but if you take a gander at that chart you'll see that the Dems actually did far better than governing parties in almost every other nation.

Of course, it does. But it's disingenuous to report exceptions as norms.
To me it's the norm. As it is for many people living in blue (more expensive) areas.

People are just lashing out because they're angry but don't know why or how it's going to play out.
Problem is, they've handed the keys to overt authoritarians who are going to gut their lives and significantly decrease their quality of life.

No argument here. I don't look forward to Trump taking office, but Kamala's loss is not surprising based just on the inflation issue.

And, like I said, there were also other factors at play.

Should schools teach (encourage?) children how to develop a "signature" for future "signing" purposes, instead of making the children learn cursive writing?

Knew a Japanese guy who came over for college and stayed for a few years afterwards. He signed everything in Japanese.

I explained to him that his signature just looked like meaningless squiggles to those who only understood English and it would be highly unlikely that we would notice a forgery. He persisted and no harm resulted as far as I know.

Loudly announcing that one is going to pick only a Black woman for veep might tick off folks of other races/sexes when she inherits the role of nominee for president.

Also, our obese nation doesn't like paying $10 - $15 for a MickeyD's value meal.

Those are my main takeaways from this election.

I have a few others, but not sharing them since they'll tick off the powers that be, get removed, and I'll be banished from this nonsensically liberal echo chamber.

Not for the GOP, it isn't. In fact it's very much a winning strategy. So much so, that they convinced Arab-Americans and Arab-supporters to help get them elected.

So enjoy having them call the shots for the foreseeable future.

I hate to say it, but I think Trump has a better chance of bringing peace to that part of the world than any Dem would given the pressures of their base.

Dems are now beholden to naive Hamas-loving fools like Jennifer Linzy (who Palestinian Isis and Iran are happy to exploit) so Dems can't use the only thing that Palestinian Isis and Iran understand, brute and overwhelming force.

Dems will protest when Trump uses that force, and then they will be called out as terrorist-coddlers. So they will lose more than half the voters, and any shot at winning a general election, to placate five percent

Recently found something I had signed in high school, and it looked completely different from my current signature.

Wow. Sometimes I do still get shocked at the level of hypocrisy from liberals. Liberals are the ones fighting across the country to restore the voting rights of all convicted felons. But now it's a bad thing for some reason.

If Trump can vote so long as he's not in prison, why are so many other Floridians with past convictions who are living in the community disenfranchised?
