So your interpretation of that is they must have had some desire to destroy the federal government, where as my point was I had no worries they had intention of destroying the federal government.

Did I ever like the Cheneys? No.
But I was more concerned with their tax cuts for the rich and endless wars in the Middle East than their plans to reduce our federal government to a group of sycophantic followers.
And when I write "more concerned" I'm not alluding to a sense of concern about them destroying the federal government. There was none. Matter of fact. They loved using the federal government to achieve their goals.
Not to mention expanding it by creating the department of Homeland Security.
Which is why Republicans are SO pro-Russia.
