Boaz, I get your point about the culture. But what is the solution? Guns or not if one person wants another dead badly enough that person is killed, by a knife, a baseball bat, someone's bare hands. Guns make this far easier. If the guns are not the problem, how do we cure the malice in a human heart? How do we make people take loss of face, sexual jealousy, humiliation, etc, without resorting to deadly violence?
The human psyche is not easy to tame, self control is not universal.
What you are advocating, doesn't work. Wars alone should tell that.
