I believe it will be. Both dems and repubs are dug in. The drastic price increases in Obamacare premiums will work in the dems favor with 70% of the people affected by it living in red states. The repubs would have had to do something anyway so by bringing the attention to the issue now demonstrates to the public that dems are looking out for them.

I suppose you could accuse individuals at the city or state level, but it would not be as effective as doing it at the Federal level.

Use Trump's tactics as an example: do it and let the courts sort it out. However, Trump, as president, has the ace card: Insurrection Act. No doubt he would invoke it and claim Pritzker is an insurrectionist. This is something that Trump WILL do at some point. It may be better to force his hand before he is ready to play it. If he played it just prior to the elections, there may not be sufficient time for the courts to react to put an end to his efforts.

In all likelihood, republicans have lost this voter and many more to come. Poor, white, rural voters will eventually come to understand that they are just tools of the rich. Republicans will promise them anything (religious freedom, tough on crime, get rid of illegals, etc.) as long as there is little or no cost to it.

You don't get to claim a Nobel Peace Prize after you have armed one side of a dispute and that side has used those arms to commit genocide!!! Jury nullification is certainly a tactic that individuals can deploy but even better would be laws that force the government (fed, state, muni) to pay for the legal defenses of the defendant if the defendant prevails plus extra for the defendant's lost income and pain and suffering. Hell, add in some more for punitive damages! That type of penalty would ensure that prosecutors only bring cases that they KNOW they will win. It would also ensure that defendants with a strong case would have no problem securing top notch legal representation.
