SSI is a form of SS, but it differs from the SS retirement benefit because to get SSI you have to be disabled or blind. How many noncitizens do you think receive SSI in this country?

To the extent that voters in the coming months and years say things like:
I didn't think he would deport my family members.
I didn't think it would cost me my job.
I didn't think I'd lose my health care.
I didn't think my special needs child would be affected.
I didn't think my wife would die in child birth.
I thought my taxes would go down more.
I thought my wages would go up and that I'd get paid for overtime.
I didn't think I would be fired for wanting to join a union.
And so on, is the extent to which those voters were uninformed.

Of the potential list of candidates I saw for the position, I thought Rubio was the best option, which is why I thought Trump would never pick him.

As the collective freak out continues, Harris will lose by about 2 points. Trump will get about 50.3% of the vote. Across the Rust Belt swing states Harris would have lost by less than 150K votes it seems.

It's barely half the country. Let's wait till we get all the numbers in on not only the the presidential election popular vote count but also on the number of people represented by the Democratic vesus Republican Senators and what the actually margin of victory was in each of the swing states. I've been thinking about something I think you said years ago. At least I think it was you. It was someone on this site. He said that regardless of who the president was, he was going to do everything in his power to make sure he and his family were okay. I'm paraphrasing badly, but I took the sentiment to heart and vowed to do whatever I could to outlive Trump the first time around. I'm making the same vow this time, although because I'm older and the Republicans are more immoral and corrupt my odds of doing so are slightly less.

What I'm talking about is a friend or family member who I truly care about.

And maybe disgust at the thought of watching DonOLD lie and brag his way through the next 4 years. If he makes it that long. He is getting older and senile. He fall asleep at his own court trial and at the RNC afterall. I don't think they can get his meds right. Sometimes they give him too much and he's all juiced up and overly aggressive. Sometimes they don't give him enough and he is lethargic to the point of nodding off.
