Oops, time to change the lies:
MAGA Makes Dramatic Shift After Identity of Killer Surfaces When the facts didn't match their narrative, Trump and his allies scrambled to rewrite the story. Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who just yesterday was on TV ranting about a supposed "Democrat leftist tranny plot," suddenly struck a different tone. Now she tells us that we need to pray for the killer. She says Kirk would have wanted us to extend forgiveness. Really? That's a remarkable change of heart, considering that before the facts came out, Mace was smearing entire communities with grotesque slurs. Fox News also scrambled. When it became undeniable that Robinson wasn't the boogeyman they wished for, they reached for the next scapegoat: college. Yes, the same Fox News whose hosts rant nightly about "Marxist professors" tried to pin Robinson's violence on one semester at Utah State. Never mind that he spent the last few years in an electrical apprenticeship program at Dixie Technical College, not exactly a hub of left-wing radicalization. They needed a villain, and higher education was the easiest straw man.

Well, ----:
Robert Evans (the Only Robert Evans) @iwriteok.bsky.social
the groypers sure seem to think Charlie Kirk was killed by a groyper
bsky.app
kate bush's husband @airbagged.bsky.social
Even Grok is calling the shooter a groyper. Lmao

This does not compute. The sad thing is I have relative who really think it was the liberal professors who radicalized the shooter:
Aaron Rupar @atrupar.com
Fox News is just forging ahead tonight as though a card-carrying Democrat gunned down Charlie Kirk. The narrative is impervious to facts.

Shooter's mom is a gun-toting, Republican voting Mormon, but it's those god damn liberal professors at the technical college who radicalized him:

ON that post, I c/p'd your comment and forgot to reply. Then I c/p'd Redial's comment about whataboutism and replied. Sorry for the confusion. #308 | Posted by BellRinger
Got it.

"Pretty much the definition of whattaboutism." I call it a consistent standard. Are you suggesting it's somehow a bad thing to apply a consistent standard as your pejorative "whataboutism" suggests? Do you think we should play by different rules? #302 | Posted by BellRinger
What? I don't even know what you are talking about. Shooter didn't say Kirk spewed hate. A family member did. How is my linking to the WaPo correction whataboutism?

2. HE PLANNED AND CARRIED OUT AN EXECUTION OF KIRK. #298 | Posted by BellRinger
Unless the shooter was like the Butler shooter. See post #287. We really don't know.

"1. According to the 3rd party recollection, the shooter brought up Kirk at a family dinner and claimed that Kirk spews hatred"
According to the WaPo correction, it was the 3rd family member who said Kirk spewed hatred, not the shooter.

If the 3rd person accounting is true, then he did hate Kirk. #290 | Posted by BellRinger
How do you figure that?
Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2025-09-12 08:36 PM | Reply
One can assume a shooter hated Kirk but that's not a given. The Butler shooter researched both Biden and Trump and seems to have chosen Trump because he was the one who was holding an outdoor event an hour away from his house.

We know very little about him at this point. We do know he absolutely hated Kirk. #282 | Posted by BellRinger
Actually that's not true. See my above post.

OREM, Utah (AP) " A 22-year-old Utah man who was arrested and booked on murder charges in the assassination of Charlie Kirk held deep disdain for the conservative activist's provocative viewpoints and indicated to a family member that he was responsible for the shooting, authorities said Friday. #245 | Posted by sitzkrieg
See link for WaPo's correction:
Tiffany @tiffanyclay.dev
Oh, well it turns out that the shooter never actually said he thought Charlie Kirk was "full of hate." The person who reported the shooter to the police said that these were the views of a third person, w/ whom the caller & the shooter had discussed Kirk.

I'd heard the claim about leftists celebrating Kirk's death but hadn't heard the same about those the right until now:
Among the rightists, Kirk was the moderate option. "The bullet fired at Charlie Kirk may have killed the moderate right," reads a tweet from Antelope Hill Publishing, an independent publishing house whose titles include works by Joseph Goebbels and Jos Antonio Primo de Rivera. With Kirk killed, his longtime nemesis Nick Fuentes becomes the path forward. After years of sending his "Groyper army" to harass Kirk at TPUSA events for being a "Zionist shill" and "America last," Fuentes offered his condolences: "I feel absolutely gutted and devastated. Pray for Charlie Kirk's soul, his young family and for our country. The violence and hatred has to stop. Our country needs Christ now more than ever."

I didn't see that anywhere... That pretty much confirms he is a Groyper... #262 | Posted by Sycophant

I don't know if he's a Groyper, but I do know that Fuentes turned on Trump over the Epestein files:
Neo-Nazi podcaster Fuentes calls MAGA a "scam" following Epstein "cover-up"
www.msn.com
I also know that Kirk backed down on his demand that Trump release the Epstein files after Trump called him and told him to knock it off.

Maybe he left a manifesto. #251 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday
Preferably with a list of his college professors who MAGA say radicalized him.

If only he'd left us some clear signs of intent. #249 | Posted by sitzkrieg
Maybe he left a manifesto. Many shooters do.

Right now it's also just the family member's word on this.

It would be interesting to know which of Kirk's viewpoints the shooter disdained and why he disdained them. He was raised in a conservative Mormon family, so which of Charlie's many view points did the shooter come to hate? Maybe there are online posts which will clarify this. Maybe some of his friends will weigh in.

Trump didn't create it. It's just a rebrand of the tea party movement with a more radical perspective because those idiots got hosed and fell for the same tricks again. #217 | Posted by jpw

Stephen King Apologizes After Claiming Charlie Kirk "Advocated Stoning Gays To Death"
King's original claim refers back to comments made by Kirk in 2024, when attacking YouTuber Ms. Rachel for quoting "love your neighbor" to defend Pride celebrations. Kirk said: "Ms. Rachel, you might wanna crack open that Bible of yours, in a lesser referenced part of the same part of scripture is in Leviticus 18 is that thou shall lay with another man, shall be stoned to death." He added: "Just sayin'." Kirk appeared to be referring to Leviticus 18:22, which states: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Leviticus 20:13 adds: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

"Who created the America first movement? That would be Trump."
No, he didn't create it. He brought it back into vogue.
